Terms of use

Last updated: 6 August 2026

ValaVerra is a marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell second-hand items — fashion, beauty, home, electronics and children’s goods (“the Service”). These terms of use (“the Terms”) set out the rules for using the Service and form an agreement between you and ValaVerra.

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, you may not use the Service.

1. ValaVerra’s role

ValaVerra connects sellers and buyers. We are neither seller, buyer, agent nor carrier: at no point are we a party to the sale concluded between two users.

No payment goes through the Service. The price, the method of payment, the handover of the item and any delivery are agreed directly between seller and buyer, under their sole responsibility.

We do not guarantee the authenticity, condition, conformity or availability of the items offered, which are the seller’s sole responsibility.

2. Registration and account

The Service is reserved for individuals aged 18 or over, acting in a non-professional capacity.

You undertake to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date. An account is personal: you may not transfer it, lend it, or open more than one.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account. Notify us without delay if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Publishing listings

You may only offer items that you own and are entitled to sell.

Each listing includes at least one photo and at most three. The photos must show the actual item you are selling: catalogue images, photos of another unit and visuals found online are not allowed.

The title, description, brand, condition, size and price must be accurate and complete. Any defect, repair or noticeable sign of wear must be disclosed. Cosmetics and fragrances that have been opened or used must be described as such.

The price is expressed in Algerian dinars and must match the price actually asked. The handover wilaya is mandatory and must match the place where the item can genuinely be collected.

A listing must be published in the matching category and may cover only one item or one coherent lot.

4. Prohibited items and content

The following are prohibited on the Service:

Counterfeits, copies, imitations and replicas, and any item bearing a trademark without its owner’s authorisation.

Stolen or unlawfully obtained items, or items you are not the rightful owner of.

Any goods whose sale is prohibited or regulated under Algerian law, in particular weapons, narcotics, medicines, tobacco, alcohol, protected species and official documents.

Content that is violent, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory or pornographic, or that infringes the privacy of others.

Misleading listings, advertising posts unrelated to an item, offers of services, and referrals to another website or selling platform.

Soliciting other users for purposes unrelated to the Service, in particular canvassing and sending unsolicited messages.

5. Moderation

Every listing is reviewed before publication. Until it is approved, it is visible only to its author.

We may refuse, withdraw or suspend any listing that breaches these Terms or the law, without notice and without compensation.

We may also suspend or delete an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach, in particular the offering of counterfeits, fraud, harassment or impersonation.

These decisions may be challenged by writing to us at the address given at the end of this document.

6. Dealings between users

The sale is concluded directly between seller and buyer. It is for them to agree the terms of payment, handover and, where applicable, delivery.

We recommend favouring handover in person in a public place, checking the item before any payment, and never sharing banking details through the messaging feature.

ValaVerra does not intervene in disputes between users and cannot be held liable for non-payment, a non-conforming item, an undelivered order or the conduct of a user.

7. Messaging and conduct

The Service’s messaging feature is intended for exchanges relating to listings. You undertake to behave respectfully there.

Harassment, insults, threats, discriminatory remarks, unsolicited messages and the distribution of unlawful content are prohibited.

Our moderators may access the content of a conversation where a report is made or abuse is suspected.

8. Your content

You remain the owner of the photos and texts you publish.

By publishing them, you grant ValaVerra a free, non-exclusive licence to reproduce and display that content, solely for the purposes of operating and promoting the Service, and for as long as it remains online.

You warrant that you hold all necessary rights over the content you publish and that it infringes no third-party rights.

9. Availability of the Service

Access to the Service is entirely free of charge.

We may develop, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, in particular for maintenance, security or technical reasons.

Should paid services be offered in future, they would be announced in advance and would not affect the free nature of existing features without your agreement.

10. Deleting your account

You may delete your account at any time from the app (My account → Delete my account). The consequences of that deletion are described on our “Data deletion” page.

Deleting your account does not release you from obligations arising before it, in particular towards a user with whom a sale had been concluded.

11. Personal data

The processing of your personal data is described in our privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may amend these Terms. In the event of a significant change, you will be informed through the app. Continued use of the Service after that notice constitutes acceptance of the new version.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Algerian law.

In the event of a dispute, we invite you to contact us in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement, the dispute will be brought before the competent Algerian courts.
